40th Anniversary Fun Day – Sunday 17 September

CTFC Funday

This year we celebrate 40 years of community football. Founded by Richard Taylor (aka Old Dick) who for over 30 years was committed to giving youngsters the opportunity to get involved with a local football team. Many former Carse players have continued to be involved in the game post Carse, either at a professional level or coaching including former Scottish International player and now Everton first-team coach Duncan Ferguson.

In honour of Dick the club was relaunched in 2013 by dedicated volunteers, ensuring that all local children that wish to play football are able to do so and that the legacy of Carse Thistle continues on. Working with Active Stirling we launch new teams each year, and are always in need of new players, coaches and volunteers!

To celebrate our 40th anniversary Carse Thistle FC are hosting a Community Fun Day on Sunday 17th September at Wallace High School 11am-3pm. There will be lots of activities and entertainment for kids and adults too! This event is open to anyone and there is no entry fee. Please help us as we support two special charities: The Eilidh Brown Memorial Fund and Kick’s Count.

Carse Thistle is a club that means alot to many people. Please help us celebrate by sharing your stories and pictures using #carsefcmemories on social media and make sure to come along to the Fun Day!
